We're looking for an experienced Case Manager to help guide and support our customers through their secured loan application.

Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Secured Loan Case Manager to oversee the lifecycle of secured loan applications in the UK. This role involves managing loan cases, ensuring compliance with UK lending regulations, and providing outstanding service to clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, experience in loan processing, and a dedication to precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Handle a portfolio of secured loan applications (e.g., mortgages, bridging loans, or second charge loans), ensuring timely progression from application to completion.
  • Document Review: Verify and analyse borrower documentation, including credit reports, income evidence, property valuations, and title deeds, to assess loan suitability.
  • Compliance: Ensure all loan processes comply with UK regulations, including Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules and the Consumer Credit Act.
  • Collateral Evaluation: Liaise with surveyors and underwriters to confirm the value and condition of collateral securing the loan.
  • Customer Communication: Act as the primary contact for borrowers, providing updates, addressing queries, and guiding them through the loan process.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in loan applications and escalate concerns to senior management or underwriters as necessary.
  • Coordination: Work with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, legal, and completions departments) and external parties (e.g., solicitors, insurance providers) to ensure seamless loan completions.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of loan progress and produce reports for management on case statuses and pipeline metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest ways to enhance workflows and improve the borrower experience.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in loan processing, case management, or a similar role, ideally with secured loans.
  • Knowledge of UK lending regulations (e.g., FCA guidelines, MCOB) and secured loan products.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial documents and property valuations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in loan management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Skills:

  • CeMAP qualification or equivalent (e.g., Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice).
  • Experience with mortgage or second charge loan case management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for managing client interactions (OMS, Nivo or similar are preferred).
