We’re seeking a talented Social Media Executive to join our marketing team remotely, driving our brand’s digital presence within the financial services sector.

Role Overview

As a Social Media Executive, you will develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage our audience, and promote our financial products and services. Working remotely, you’ll create compelling content tailored to the UK market, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, all while staying ahead of social media trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook, tailored to financial services audiences.
  • Develop social media campaigns to promote products, thought leadership, and client education initiatives.
  • Analyse performance using tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Google Analytics, delivering reports with insights to optimise engagement and reach.
  • Engage with followers, respond to queries, and build a professional online community in line with brand values.
  • Collaborate remotely with marketing, compliance, and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Stay informed on social media trends, financial services marketing, and UK consumer preferences to keep strategies relevant.
  • Manage paid social campaigns, optimising budgets and tracking ROI.
  • Ensure all content complies with UK financial regulations (e.g., FCA guidelines) and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, ideally within financial services or a regulated industry.
  • Proven ability to create engaging content and grow audiences in a professional context.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and paid advertising.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience crafting clear, compliant, and persuasive copy.
  • Creative skills for producing visuals or videos (e.g., using Canva or Adobe tools).
  • Familiarity with UK financial services regulations and marketing best practices.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, thriving in a remote work environment.
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Asana.

Desirable

  • Experience with financial content creation, such as blogs or infographics explaining complex products.
  • Knowledge of SEO and its role in amplifying social media reach.
  • Understanding of client segmentation in financial services (e.g., retail, SME, or institutional).
