Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Partnerships to lead the development and management of key relationships for our credit comparison website and financial services brokerage in the UK. This pivotal role will focus on building and nurturing partnerships with lenders, insurers, and other stakeholders to drive business growth, enhance our product offerings, and deliver exceptional value to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong network in the financial services sector, proven leadership skills, and a track record of fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to support the brokerage’s growth objectives, aligning with market trends and client needs.
- Relationship Building: Identify, establish, and maintain strategic relationships with key partners, including banks, lenders, insurance providers, and fintech companies.
- Business Development: Drive new partnership opportunities to expand the range of financial products and services offered, such as mortgages, loans, insurance, and investment products.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations of partnership agreements, ensuring terms are commercially viable, compliant, and aligned with company goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for senior-level partners, fostering trust and long-term collaboration.
- Compliance: Ensure all partnerships adhere to UK regulatory requirements, including Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and other relevant legislation.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small partnerships team, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and client demands to identify new partnership opportunities and ensure the brokerage remains competitive.
- Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs to measure the success of partnerships, reporting regularly to senior management on outcomes and ROI.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to integrate partnerships into the broader business strategy and enhance client experience.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or a senior relationship management role within financial services (e.g., brokerage, banking, or insurance).
- Established network of contacts within the UK financial services industry, including lenders and insurers.
- Deep understanding of UK financial regulations, including FCA rules and Consumer Duty.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to align partnerships with business goals.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- CeMAP, CFA, or equivalent financial services qualification.
- Experience in mortgage and loans brokerage, secured loans, or insurance partnerships.
- Familiarity with fintech innovations, CRM’s and their application in financial services.
